Terms To Know

These are some terms would help us in the field of Education Technology. 

Educational technology: Educational technology is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using, and managing appropriate technological processes and resources.

E-learning: a kind of learning which occurs through the internet, a network or only a computer and as an audible, visual and interactive synchronous or asynchronous, educational activity

D-learning: sometimes called e-learning, is a formalized teaching and learning system specifically designed to be carried out remotely by using electronic communication

Blended learning: a learning that is facilitated by the effective combination of different modes of delivery, models of teaching and styles of learning

Online learning: the learning that take place entirely through the internet

Netiquette: stands for "Internet Etiquette", and refers to the set of practices created over the years to make the Internet experience pleasant for everyone

LMS: is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of e-learning education courses or training programs

CAL: Computer-assisted learning is to convey a vast amount of information in a very short period of time. It is a powerful method of reinforcing concepts and topics first introduced to you through your textbook, and discussion in the classroom. Computer-assessed learning enables you in a powerful way to comprehend complex concepts.
